The Custom Headcover Process

Simple, personal, and built around turning your fabric into a one-of-a-kind piece of golf gear.

1. Choose Your Style

You pick the type of headcover you want us to build:

  • Driver
  • Fairway
  • Hybrid
  • Putter

Each style has its own shape and pattern, and we tailor the build to fit your exact club type.

2. Select Your Fabric

This is where HackSmith stands out. You can choose:

  • Military fatigues (our specialty)
  • A uniform from any branch
  • A sentimental fabric (shirt, jacket, blanket, jersey, etc.)
  • A unique textile you simply love

If we can't purchase the fabric, you can mail it directly to us. We'll confirm the amount needed and guide you through preparing it.

3. Personal Details & Layout

We work with you to decide how the meaningful elements should be placed:

  • Name tapes
  • Rank patches
  • Unit patches
  • Branch identifiers
  • Decorative elements from your fabric

You tell us what matters most, and we design the layout around those pieces.

4. Crafting Your Headcover

This is where the magic happens. Your fabric is:

  • Stabilized
  • Backed with protective lining
  • Cut precisely
  • Sewn by hand with reinforced stitching
  • Finished with a premium interior to protect your club

Every headcover is built for durability, weather resistance, and long-term use on the course.

5. Quality Check

Before shipping, we inspect:

  • Stitch strength
  • Patch placement
  • Fit and form
  • Clean edges and seams
  • Overall appearance

If anything doesn't meet our standard, we rebuild it.

6. Shipping Back to You

Your custom headcover is packaged securely and shipped back along with any unused fabric. You receive:

  • A handcrafted headcover
  • A piece of your story preserved in a new form
  • A unique addition to your golf bag that no one else in the world has

Why This Process Matters

HackSmith isn't just making golf accessories — we're preserving memories, honoring service, and turning personal fabrics into functional art. Every step is designed to respect the material you send and the meaning behind it.
